PROJECT ENGINEER - CHANGE MANAGEMENT

This position will be in our Engineering team reporting directly to our Manager of Lab, Support, and Compliance. The Project Engineer will help to upgrade the change management and product development process. This person will manage and support various Engineering projects from start to finish. RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage New Product Development projects through Product Development Process.
  • Manage ECR projects through the Change Management Process
  • Collaborate with product managers to develop in-depth product specifications, conforming to the necessary Engineering standards.
  • Work with ECR committee to evaluate and approve changes
  • Help manage and coordinate all activities starting with the factories and overseas teams to achieve specific deliverables within the PDS (product development schedule)
  • Review product reports from overseas teams.
  • Conduct industry research, analysis, and benchmarking to remain current with industry and agency standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with factories, wholesale partners, and customer(s) to develop category expertise through data, studies, and trend analysis of products.
  • Help conduct quality investigations and make recommendations for solutions and improvements to product and processes.
  • Assist with departmental administrative tasks and follow up as needed to stay on track and remain accountable for objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferred Mechanical or Electrical) is mandatory.
  • Professional Engineer, Member of the OIQ (Order of Quebec Engineer) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 4 years related experience in Engineering and product development.
  • Experience and exposure to designing small electromechanical devices is an asset.
  • Prior experience working with retailers and/or consumer goods is an asset.
  • Analytical skills with an ability to break down concepts to translate across the organization.
  • Able to lead multiple projects with the ability to lead.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with an attention to detail and follow-up
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work with multiple departments and overseas suppliers.
  • Able to use 3D CAD of viewers to review product designs from suppliers is an asset.

INGÉNIEUR DE PROJET - GESTION DU CHANGEMENT

Ce poste est à pourvoir au sein de notre équipe d'ingénierie, sous la responsabilité directe du directeur du laboratoire, de l'assistance et de la conformité. L'ingénieur de projet contribuera à améliorer la gestion des changements et le processus de développement des produits. Il ou elle gérera et soutiendra divers projets d'ingénierie du début à la fin. RESPONSABILITÉS :

  • Gérer les projets de développement de nouveaux produits dans le cadre du processus de développement de produits.
  • Gérer les projets ECR dans le cadre du processus de gestion des changements.
  • Collaborer avec les chefs de produit pour élaborer des spécifications de produit approfondies, conformes aux normes d'ingénierie nécessaires.
  • Travailler avec le comité ECR pour évaluer et approuver les changements.
  • Contribuer à la gestion et à la coordination de toutes les activités en commençant par les usines et les équipes d'outre-mer afin d'obtenir des résultats spécifiques dans le cadre du PDS (calendrier de développement des produits).
  • Examiner les rapports sur les produits émanant des équipes internationales.
  • Effectuer des recherches, des analyses et des comparaisons dans le secteur afin de rester au fait des normes et des meilleures pratiques de l'industrie et des agences.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les usines, les partenaires du commerce de gros et le(s) client(s) afin de développer une expertise de la catégorie par le biais de données, d'études et d'analyses des tendances des produits.
  • Contribuer à la réalisation d'enquêtes de qualité et formuler des recommandations en vue de trouver des solutions et d'améliorer les produits et les processus.
  • Participer aux tâches administratives du service et assurer le suivi nécessaire afin de rester sur la bonne voie et d'assumer la responsabilité des objectifs.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Un baccalauréat en génie (mécanique ou électrique de préférence) est obligatoire.
  • Ingénieur professionnel, membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) est obligatoire.
  • Minimum de 4 ans d'expérience en ingénierie et en développement de produits.
  • L'expérience et l'exposition à la conception de petits appareils électromécaniques est un atout.
  • Une expérience préalable auprès de détaillants et/ou de biens de consommation est un atout.
  • Compétences analytiques avec une capacité à décomposer les concepts pour les traduire dans l'ensemble de l'organisation.
  • Capable de diriger plusieurs projets avec la capacité de diriger.
  • Excellente communication orale et écrite, avec un souci du détail et du suivi.
  • Aptitude avérée à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à travailler avec plusieurs services et fournisseurs étrangers.
  • La capacité à utiliser la CAO 3D des visionneuses pour examiner les conceptions de produits des fournisseurs est un atout.
