The Shipping & Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations. This role involves executing shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, and handling of raw materials and products to ensure efficient and accurate delivery to internal departments, external contractors, or customers. In conjunction to the Shipping & Receiving Duties, this role is responsible for operating various types of forklifts to efficiently move materials and products throughout the facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and receiving processes while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Receive and verify incoming materials/shipments against purchase orders Inspect materials for any physical damage or rust Coordinate shipping and receiving with logistics and transportation companies Log shipping/receiving transactions using the ERP System (Epicor) Operate and maintain RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer) Perform material sorting, labeling, bagging, repacking, and taping of boxes Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies Operate mechanical forklifts and pallet jacks Operate a 10-ton overhead crane in a safe and compliant manner, upon completion of required training. Conduct daily checks on all forklifts and the crane Work on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed Support facility housekeeping and maintenance as required 3-5 years of proven experience in shipping and receiving ~2-3 years of forklift and crane operations (certified) ~ Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook), and experience using ERP or inventory management systems. ~ Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet tight shipping and receiving deadlines. ~ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a dependable and cooperative team player. ~ Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting packing slips, shipping documents, and blueprint Competitive salary and benefits package.
