Civil Engineering Technologist

Job SummaryTRG is hiring Civil Engineering Technologist to support high-voltage substation projects involving secondary oil containment systems. This role participates in all project phases—from quotation and design through installation and close-out documentation—and involves both office and field work with travel across North America.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project scope, schedules, volumes, and cost calculationsSupport quotation preparation, estimates, and bid reviewsProvide technical support during engineering and construction phasesConduct site visits to ensure installation quality and complianceCoordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teamsReview designs, drawings, as-built documentation, manuals, and QC recordsSupervise onsite teams and assist with installation activities as requiredMaintain knowledge of product applications, availability, and pricingFoster strong client relationships and address engineering issuesEnsure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and SOPsQualificationsEducation & Knowledge:Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related fieldProfessional designation (in process preferred)Blueprint reading and AutoCAD experience considered an assetExperience & Skills:Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage projects from concept to completionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and within cross-functional teamsTechnically capable of anticipating and troubleshooting project issuesSelf-motivated with a strong attention to detailSpecial RequirementsAbility to travel up to 50% within North AmericaValid passport permitting international travelValid Ontario Driver’s LicenseDrug and alcohol testing as requiredPhysical & Work RequirementsOccasional office-based drafting and documentation workOccasional site work in varying weather and environmental conditionsTravel to customer and project sites as requiredAccountabilityResponsible for work area, product documentation, and development recordsSupports decisions related to product applications and market fitHow to ApplyIf you feel you are a strong fit and this role matches your skills and experience, you are perfect for this role — please apply.Candidates must be permanent residents or citizens.
