Job Title: Back-End EngineerLocation: Canada Remote Duration: Long-term ContractRequired Skill: Azure, Python, Lang chain or Agentic AI Experience Required: 8+ yearsJob Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Back-End Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and delivering a foundational platform for AI and Automation, leveraging Microsoft Azure as the primary technology stack. This platform will power next-generation AI-enabled business services, focusing initially on building robust user interfaces and advanced data capabilities, including ingestion, mapping, extraction, and agentic AI intelligent interfaces.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and robust back-end solutions on Azure.• Ensure software engineering best practices across design, code, testing, and documentation.• Build and maintain Node.js APIs and back-end components.• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing services as the platform grows.• Work in an integrated DevOps / CI/CD environment to support reliable deployments.• Work independently with minimal supervision, identifying challenges proactively.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).• 5+ years of back-end development experience.• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, Azure App Services, and API development.• Understanding of front-end integration and deployment architecture.• Experience with PostgreSQL, CosmosDB/Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage.• Experience building AI agents using Python and LLM APIs.• Strong understanding of Agentic AI and hands-on experience with LangChain.• Experience handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
