You will be joining a small, talented team and lead efforts that will shape our public perception, drive brand narrative evolution, and amplify our vision.Who You Are.High integrity and seeks out responsibilityResilient, resourceful, and motivated to get things doneApproaches challenges as opportunitiesCurious and eager to learnWelcomes feedback and open dialogueValues team success over personal recognitionOrganized and detail-oriented.Process drivenWhat You’ll Be Doing.Identify, develop and maintain relationships with top priority journalists, influencers and media targetsWriting, editing, and verbally communicating complex ideas effectively to a diverse audience through clear and impactful messaging.Developing and framing the company's brand position and tone across various social platforms.Shaping how we show up online.Blending deep technical understanding with creative storytelling.Ideating on campaigns that help people understand our mission, products and business model.Create unexpected ways to showcase our work, including our open source initiatives and research.Create multi-modal educational content for a variety of audiences and depth levels.Skills, Requirements and Qualifications.Portfolio of written content to share.At least 5+ years within early-stage software startups in Communications, Sales, or Marketing roles.You are an excellent speaker and writer.You have a well-established media relationship network.You are personable and able to manage expectations across many stakeholders and multiple on-going relationships.Crisis communication experience is a plus.Proficiency in PR tools, media monitoring platforms, and social media management.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
