Founded in 2001, Nomadis is a company that specializes in workforce logistics as well as the logistics of health services in remote areas.
Through our involvement in several projects in Nunavik and Nunavut, we have encountered significant challenges in managing travel and accommodation for Indigenous communities. Our software solutions were born out of the need to provide a more reliable, innovative and cost-effective solution to address these challenges.
Today, Nomadis helps organizations around the world reduce the costs and risks associated with workforce management, travel and accommodation. We provide consulting and integration services to streamline our clients' business processes and ensure they are equipped to meet their goals and commitments.
Position: Cloud Operations Manager (#E2409-COM)Job Description
The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our cloud infrastructure and systems to ensure smooth service delivery. They manage the complete infrastructure, applications and security systems, and are responsible for troubleshooting processes, system upgrades, and monitoring of infrastructure and systems to meet performance, security, and availability targets.
Responsibilities and Accountability
Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of our Cloud environments and systems
Ensure high availability and performance of our cloud infrastructure, systems and services – make sure we exceed our Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Develop and implement procedures for monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting cloud systems, including regular maintenance, emergency procedures and disaster recovery
Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment of applications and updates
Manage and optimize cloud resources to improve efficiency, exceed Service Levels (SLAs) and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including SOC2 and other frameworks
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the operations and development teams
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and make recommendations for improvement
Foster the company culture, mission, and values.
Skills and Profile
3 to 5 years of experience in managing IT/Cloud operations·
Autonomy to oversee all responsibilities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams·
Ability to develop and implement cloud security policies and procedures·
Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders – clients, partners and suppliers
Versatility and ability to adapt to a continuously evolving environment, technologies, and methodologies.
Bilingual in French/English.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge in cloud infrastructure, networks and web applications/APIs, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure·
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure·
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Kubernetes, Docker and others
Familiarity with security systems and cloud monitoring tools such as Crowdstrike, Sumo Logic or other SIEM tool
Knowledge of security standards (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Professional and Academic Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT/Cloud infrastructure management and cybersecurity
Experience in teamwork and dealing directly with customers
Experience with an international clientele is an asset.
