Join us and be a key part of a high-performing team driving impactful changeLearn more at https://mobilinx.ca.About the JobWe are hiring a Track Design Coordinator to join our Technical Office team on the Mobilinx project. This position reports to the Senior Technical Manager.What You Will Be Doing?Design and Technical CoordinationAct as the key liaison between Design teams and construction leads to ensure alignment between design intent and field constructability.Review and interpret design drawings, standards, and specifications related to track work.Facilitate workshops and discussions to resolve design issues, propose practical solutions, and ensure constructability considerations are captured in the design.RFI, NCR, and Site Instruction ManagementLead the coordination and closure of Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely and complete responses from the design team.Support the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by managing technical input and verifying that corrective actions are appropriately implemented.Track and manage Site Instructions to ensure design impacts, cost, and schedule implications are properly documented and communicated.Interface and Issue ResolutionCoordinate with other disciplines (civil, systems, utilities, and structures) to resolve cross-discipline design and construction interfaces.Participate in regular technical coordination meetings to ensure all design dependencies are addressed.Identify and escalate potential risks early and work collaboratively to mitigate them through practical solutions.Design Change and Documentation ControlMonitor design revisions and ensure construction teams are working to the latest approved documents.Support the preparation and verification of record drawings and as-built documentation.Coordinate with quality and engineering teams for construction certificates and final handover documentation.Collaboration, Communication, and PerformanceFoster effective communication and teamwork between design, construction, and stakeholder teams.Build strong working relationships with designers, construction teams, and client representatives to promote trust and transparency.Maintain meticulous records and trackers of outstanding items, ensuring all actions are closed within defined timeframes.Support the Technical and Construction Managers with reporting and performance tracking to ensure project milestones are met.What We Are Looking For?Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience: 3- 5 years of experience in track design coordination, construction, or infrastructure project delivery.Technical Knowledge:Sound understanding of track design principles, including ballasted and embedded track systems.Knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., AREMA, EN, ISO, or equivalent).Software Skills: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.Behavioural Attributes:Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving results.Demonstrated ability to track actions, follow up effectively, and drive closure on technical issues.Why Choose Webuild?Competitive compensation & retirement savings – We offer a strong compensation package with an RRSP matching program (currently up to 4% for permanent employees).Iconic projects – Be part of major linear infrastructure projects that shape Canada’s future.Day-one coverage – Comprehensive group benefits start on your first day (for permanent roles working 20+ hours per week).Wellbeing support – Access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program whenever you need it.Work-life balance – We actively encourage a healthy balance between work and personal life.Time to recharge – Vacation entitlement: 3–5 weeks annually, based on experience and in accordance with company policy and applicable employment standards.Grow with us – Tailored training and development opportunities to advance your career.Extra perks – Enjoy discounts like 20% off at GoodLife Fitness (currently available to Ontario employees through our group benefits provider, subject to change)Join the Webuild LifeAt Webuild, we believe diverse perspectives drive innovation, strengthen teams, and lead to better outcomes.
