BizTalk Integration Developer (Contract)Location: Canada (Hybrid / Onsite as required) Contract Start Date: March 2, 2026 Contract Duration: Approximately 300 business days Number of Openings: 1OverviewWe are seeking an experienced BizTalk Integration Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions within a Microsoft-based integration environment. This role will focus on building and maintaining secure, reliable integrations between business systems, applications, and external partners.The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server and enterprise integration patterns, and is comfortable working closely with both business and technical stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, deploy, and support integration applications using Microsoft BizTalk ServerBuild integration solutions that meet business requirements while maintaining data integrity and adhering to established standards and best practicesParticipate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentationCollaborate with business teams, project managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful solution deliveryDevelop integrations involving web services/APIs, file and FTP transfers, database interactions, workflows, and secure authentication mechanismsMonitor, troubleshoot, and performance-tune integration applications and environments to ensure high availability and reliabilityComplete assigned development and maintenance activities, including service requests, releases, incidents, problem resolution, and documentationWork directly with stakeholders to define requirements and present technical solutionsAnalyze existing integration solutions and update or create supporting documentationProduce solution documentation using established templates and standardsReview developed solutions and support knowledge transfer to internal integration teamsRequired QualificationsUniversity degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or a diploma/certification in Information Technology from a recognized institution (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)Minimum 5 years of IM/IT experienceMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server (2013, 2016, or newer)Strong experience designing and implementing integrations involving:Web services and APIsFile and FTP-based integrationsDatabase interactionsWorkflow orchestrationSecure authentication mechanismsDemonstrated experience collaborating with business and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) for requirements elicitation and process definitionExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishNice to Have / AssetsExperience integrating BizTalk solutions with ERP systemsExperience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services, including:Azure Logic AppsAzure Service BusAzure FunctionsAzure API ManagementExperience migrating on-premises BizTalk solutions to cloud-based or iPaaS environmentsAdditional NotesThe role may involve working across the full development lifecycle or focusing on specific areas such as development, documentation, or production support, depending on project needsCandidates should be comfortable managing technical scope and expectations while working in a collaborative, enterprise environment
