The Portfolio Group is hiring for a Health & Safety Advisor in Vancouver, BC. You will provide health and safety advice, support, recommendations and solutions as part of the my client’s health and safety support services.You will be working on site on a full time basis in office off of Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver. Day-to-Day Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding relevant and correct OHS advice and solutions to clients in a professional, efficient and practical mannerProactively reaching out to clients to follow up regarding any advice, solutions, support or recommendationsConducting research regarding client health and safety inquiriesDocumenting conversations and communications with clients regarding their OHS issues & advice providedHelping the client understand how to use the tools provided, including our OHS management softwareAdvising clients on how to use Peninsula’s health and safety management systemAssisting with writing and revising health and safety policies, procedures and related documentationAchieving internal key performance indicatorsEducation/ExperienceA degree, diploma or certificate from an accredited health and safety education or training programA minimum of 2+ years of relevant health and safety training and work experienceWhat you Bring to the TeamA thorough knowledge of the OHS legislation and related regulations and policies in CanadaExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAn ability to work independently, as well as a team playerVery strong time management skillsA high level of computer literacyPerks and BenefitsDay off on your birthdayEnhanced Benefits with Health and Dental CoverageWe offer a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Matching ProgramDowntown LocationVacation Days increase after 2 and 5 years’ service
