This unique role blends underwriting support with business-development responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who understands mortgage structuring and enjoys building client relationships.You will work closely with our mortgage brokers, lender partners, and internal team to ensure smooth application flow, strong client communication, and high-quality submissions.ResponsibilitiesUnderwriting & File ManagementReview, assess, and input residential and commercial mortgage applicationsConduct targeted cold-calling, follow-ups, and outreach to generate new relationshipsNurture leads and convert them into active mortgage opportunitiesCollaborate with the broker team to identify growth opportunities and improve deal flowSupport marketing and client-engagement initiatives as neededMaintain accurate CRM records and track all communication and follow-up activitiesProvide ongoing application support to brokersAssist with documentation collection, compliance tasks, and condition fulfilmentQualificationsActive BC mortgage broker or sub-mortgage broker license (required)Experience in mortgage underwriting, lending, or brokering is an assetStrong understanding of lender guidelines and mortgage product structuresExcellent communication and client-relations skillsComfort with outbound calling, lead follow-up, and relationship buildingHigh attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive salary + performance-based bonusesOpportunity to grow into a senior underwriting or broker roleSupportive team environment with ongoing training and mentorshipAccess to top-tier lenders, tools, and CRM systemsVerify borrower risk, creditworthiness, income, and asset documentationEnsure all applications meet lender guidelines and BCFSA regulatory requirementsPrepare complete, accurate, and lender-ready submissionsCommunicate proactively with brokers, clients, and lender partners throughout the approval processNegotiate with lenders and adjudicators to secure the strongest possible deals for clientsHow to ApplyApply with your resume and a quick note on why this role excites you.If you’re licensed, detail-oriented, and ready to earn more by combining underwriting expertise with real business development, we want to hear from you todayWe thank all applicants; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
