We are looking for a skilled Supply Packaging Planner to develop replenishment plans that ensure all production orders are met on time while maintaining optimal inventory levels for AlumierMD, an innovative and disruptive global skincare brand. You’ll be responsible for building resilient supplier partnerships, driving innovation in packaging operations, and ensuring seamless alignment with finished goods planning. Working closely with the Finished Goods Planner, you’ll play a key role in delivering best-in-class operational performance.Eligible candidates must reside in the GTA.Responsibilities:Packaging Master Production PlanningCreate and maintain a rolling 12‑month Packaging Master Production Schedule in Gains, supported by Dynamics GP & SalesPadAnalyze risks in supplier commitments; build contingency plans for stock-outs or lead-time spikesSupplier Relationship & DevelopmentEnd-to-end ownership of RFQs, PO issuance, price tracking and MOQ negotiations within budgetary guidelinesDrive continuous improvement initiatives: new pack designs, cost-savings and efficiency projectsQuality & Escalation ManagementLead root-cause investigations on packaging defects; coordinate corrective-action plans with QA and CMOsEscalate unresolved quality or capacity issues to the Supply Planning Manager with data‑backed recommendationsCross-Functional CollaborationDistribute weekly production status reports to Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and NPD teamsPartner daily with NPD team, Finance & Accounts Payable, Inventory Manager, Warehouse & Logistics, CMOs, Finished Goods Planner and S&OP ManagerFeed packaging-component status into the FG Planner’s weekly production reportAct as a key liaison across internal departments—such as Product Development, Accounting, and Marketing—to drive packaging-related process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, remove bottlenecks, and accelerate decision-making in support of operational and strategic goalsNew Product Development (NPD) SupportActively participate in NPD initiatives, ensuring supply chain readiness for product launchesCollaborate with product development, marketing, and manufacturing teams to align production and material planning with NPD timelinesIdentify potential supply chain risks for new products and implement proactive solutionsPackaging & Materials PlanningDevelop Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for packaging materials to support production schedulesIssue purchase orders for packaging components, ensuring timely procurement from approved suppliersManage supplier relationships, resolving shortages, missed deliveries, and quality issuesLead internally driven packaging development initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing costsGlobal Ancillary & Promotional MaterialsManage supply of global ancillary (marketing) items, ensuring availability to support promotional activities and campaignsCollaborate with marketing and logistics to forecast and procure campaign-specific materialsProcess Improvement & Systems Implementation (25%)Participate in the rollout of new supply chain planning and execution systemsEstablish best practices in inventory management, purchasing, and production schedulingContinuously identify and execute process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiencyDecision-Making & AuthorityAutonomous lead on all packaging RFQs, POs and MOQ negotiations within approved guidelinesEscalate major cost, capacity or quality decisions to the Supply Planning ManagerManage inventory receipts and match PO/invoice quantities and pricing, troubleshooting discrepancies when requiredPerformance Metrics (KPIs)Stock-out rateSuppliers on-time delivery (to warehouse/CMO)ERP data integrity (PO follow-up & system updates)Packaging spend tracking (cost savings delivered)Supplier scorecard ratings (quality, responsiveness, cost)Collaboration PointsFinished Goods Planner: synchronize production windows; flag upstream packaging risksExternal Suppliers & CMOs: manage relationships and support component deliveriesInternal Partners: align with NPD team, Finance & Accounts Payable, Inventory Manager, Warehouse & Logistics, CMOs, Finished Goods Planner and S&OP Requirements:2-3+ years of experience in an inventory planning or supply planning position (consumer goods/packaging experience preferred)Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-resolution skillsUnderstanding of manufacturing plant capabilities and constraintsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Gains, Dynamics GP & SalesPad a strong asset)High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptabilityQuality Assurance experience is an assetPostsecondary degree/diploma in Operations Management or related fieldStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and external partnersExperience managing multiple cross-functional projects alongside day-to-day responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Development, Accounting, Marketing) to execute improvement initiatives and streamline supply chain processesContinuous Improvement Initiatives, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, an assetDesired Skills:Bias for Action: quick to escalate and resolve issuesStakeholder Management: excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities; trusted partner to internal and external teamsCollaboration: positive attitude, detail-oriented, quick thinkerContinuous Improvement Mindset: always optimizing processes and toolsTeam Impact Catalyst: Willingness to generate impact and work as a team player to raise the bar for the whole teamInquisitive Learner: Openness to ask questions and a genuine curiosity about learning new thingsStatus Quo Challenger: Proactive mindset with a drive to challenge and improve the status quoStrategic Visionary: Ability to think beyond daily execution and contribute to long-term strategic planning decisionsCross-Functional Influencer: Skilled at navigating across departments to align diverse stakeholders and champion initiatives that drive efficiency, cost savings, and innovationSalary range is $70,000-$80,000AlumierMD is an equal opportunity employer
