We are partnering with a leading global Workday partner with a very strong pipeline of Workday Payroll projects across the United States and Canada. They are expanding their dedicated Payroll deployment team and are looking for experienced Workday Payroll specialists who want to focus on end to end deployments and grow into future leadership roles.This is a delivery first opportunity with real backing, consistent projects, and a clear path into solution leadership and people leadership.Key responsibilitiesLead Workday Payroll US or Canada workstreams from design through go live, including discovery, requirements, configuration, testing, cutover and post go live supportAct as the primary Payroll contact for client stakeholders across HR, Finance and Technology, representing Payroll across the programmePlan and run client workshops, gather and document requirements, and present design decisions to senior stakeholdersDemonstrate and explain complex Workday Payroll functionality in a clear and confident wayPartner closely with technical teams on integrations for Payroll inputs and outputs, including Time, Benefits, General Ledger and third party providersGuide and support junior consultants on projects, acting as a mentor and role model within the Workday practiceContribute to practice tools, templates and delivery methods to drive consistent, high quality Payroll deploymentsBalance client expectations with commercial and project constraints, knowing when to push back, when to escalate and when to go the extra milePermanent profileStrong hands on experience with Workday Payroll US or CanadaAt least two or three full end to end Workday Payroll deployments where you acted as a lead or key functional consultantRecent configuration experience across core Payroll areas such as earnings and deductions, taxes, time off and leave, inputs and results validationExperience leading a functional workstream on a Workday implementation across the full lifecycleBackground delivering Workday Payroll projects either partner side or customer sideIf you are not currently with a partner, full support toward Workday certification can be provided if you bring around three end to end Payroll deployments as a leadStrong consulting skills, including presenting, leading workshops and explaining complex solutions in simple termsExcellent communication skills with confidence building relationships in both remote and onsite settingsContractor profileAlready certified in Workday Payroll US or CanadaSupported at least three Workday Payroll US or Canada deployments in the last three years in a lead or senior roleAble to step into complex live deployments and quickly build credibility with client stakeholdersComfortable working in fast moving delivery environments with clear timelines and outcomesWhat you will getOpportunity to join a Workday partner recognised as one of the strongest in the ecosystemExcellent reputation in the market and a strong pipeline of Workday Payroll programmesWork alongside high performing Workday leaders and specialists, with access to strong delivery standards and supportClear progression into solution leadership and people leadership, with structured mentoring aligned to your career goalsFor permanent roles, competitive salary plus a 20 percent annual bonus and strong benefitsPrimarily remote working with milestone travel for key workshops, testing phases and go live supportStrong learning culture and the chance to grow into related areas such as Time Tracking, Absence, HCM, Financials and integrationsLocation and travelOpen to candidates across North America with deep experience in Workday Payroll US or CanadaPrimarily remote working with travel to client sites for key project milestones
