Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8+ years of expertise in Solution Design and Architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Solution Design and Architecture Solution Design & Architecture and Solution Design to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive solution architectures that meet business requirements.

• Lead all aspects of the development of solution designs that align with the company’s strategic goals.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure solutions are scalable reliable and secure.

• Develop detailed documentation for solution designs including diagrams and specifications.

• Ensure that all solution designs adhere or surpass validated methodologies and standards.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation of designed solutions.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate them into solution designs where appropriate.

• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present solution designs.

• Supervise and review the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they meet business objectives.

• Provide mentorship and training to junior architects and other team members.

What you bring to the role

• 8+ years of proven experience in Java development, including API, Java Microservices and event-based software development with proficiency in technologies such as Spring Boot, Apigee, Confluent / Kafka, Liquibase, Docker, Kubernetes. Java programming language, SQL. RESTful and SOAP web services.

• Extensive experience with designing solutions, DevOps Solutions

• University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Interest in or active pursuit of related industry certifications are considered an asset

• Experience as a developer in a team environment

• Proficient experience with: Database systems and data access methods, source code management and build automation systems, test-driven development and test frameworks

• Have a consistent track record of successfully executing complex solution architectures.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
