We partner with some of the top software companies in the world to make bookkeeping more affordable, efficient and enjoyable - for both the bookkeepers and the clients.We think we're doing some big things, and we are looking for a talented manager in the accounting world to join.Role DescriptionThis is an exciting time to join our company, as we are growing rapidly We are growing from our current size of 18 to over 60 team members over the next 12 months, and we're looking for an Operations Manager who can hit the ground running from day 1.We will train on the specific nature of the clients and the software we use but you must have a good amount of management, system-building and technical bookkeeping experience to pull from.This role in particular will grow in responsibilities quickly so we are looking for someone hungry for a spot on a growing team.As an Operations Manager, things you'll be getting up to are the following: Managing Team delivery - Measured through quality and timeliness metricsHelping develop and implement systems to support scalingYou'll support associates with client communication and technical problemsBe proactive in raising strategic issues that may arise as your department continues to growSome of us work from the office in Vancouver, and many of us work permanently remote. We sometimes get together for special events but which are optional but encouraged.QualificationsTeam management experience is a must Expect a fast-paced environment where training is available but you have to be proactiveA strong base of bookkeeping to be able to deal with technical problemsStrong attention to detail, as we deal with a lot of reports and exact numbers and you'll often be asked to review documents before sending files to clientsMust be comfortable communicating with clients via email and video calls (infrequently)Ability to work independently and ask for help when you need itBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experienceExperience with Quickbooks, Xero or other popular financial software is important (or Bench)OptionalFrench fluency is an asset (We speak to Revenu Quebec occasionally)Bench Accounting alumni is an assetBenefits after a 3 month probation period.Benefits:10 days paid time off10 Flex days (Paid time off)Group Benefits Programme$500 Annual Lifestyle Spending AccountWork from Anywhere AllowancesWe're a young company, and we continue to evolve.
