Scrum Master Job Description

At Corpay, we're seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team and contribute to our mission of building the future of digital gift-giving. As a Scrum Master, you'll play a critical role in helping our team embrace agile values, adopt and apply agile principles, and implement agile practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help the team align and focus on Sprint and Program Increment (PI) Goals.
  • Foster continuous improvement of performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
  • Guide the team to remove impediments and assess the Scrum maturity of the team.
  • Coach the team to higher levels of maturity and help them improve and take responsibility for their actions.
  • Help the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the product backlog and roadmap.
  • Capture, monitor, and report metrics to inform conversations with stakeholders.
  • Drive the Safe Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Showcase JIRA and Confluence experience and management.
  • Perform risk and impediment management, and handle external team dependencies and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on minimum 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with Jira or other tools utilized in an Agile development environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or SAFe SSM).
  • Effective planning and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with other engineers, including distributed team members.
  • Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to all aspects of the development.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
