Associate Physician, Radiation Oncology

BC Cancer – Abbotsford seeks an Associate Physician in Radiation Oncology to provide clinical and academic services.

The centre has collaborative and innovative nursing, physics, dosimetry and therapy staff. The BC Cancer-Abbotsford has a full range of medical oncology, diagnostic and support services.

The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, to participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities.

Applicants come with the ability to perform within the scope of Associate Physician duties and responsibilities. Applicants are able to interact, and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex, dynamic situations.

Perks include support for Continuing Professional Development time and funds, CPSBC and CMPA fees.

Successful candidates will have a commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).

Remuneration will be based on experience and in accordance with the PHSA compensation framework for Associate Physicians.

Requirements

  • Have successfully completed Part 1 of the MCC Qualifying examination
  • Have Canadian Citizenship, be a permanent resident or be legally able to live and work in British Columbia
