Customer Experience Associate

Job Summary:

BMO Financial Group seeks a Customer Experience Associate to deliver exceptional service to our customers and prospects. As a key member of our team, you will identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance on financial solutions that align with their interests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that enhance the customer's relationship with BMO beyond personal banking.
  2. Welcome and guide customers as they enter the branch lobby, offering advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast with BMO.
  3. As a lobby leader, assist in conducting client conversations about banking services to recommend alternative channels and provide personal banking and investment advice.
  4. Meet customer transaction-based needs with seamless execution.
  5. Review customer profiles and engage in needs-based conversations to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
  6. Contribute to meeting branch business results and the customer experience.
  7. Support operational activities, such as inventory management, escalated service requests, following up on customer applications, filing, opening and closing activities.
  8. Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
  9. Probe to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
  10. Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  11. Take the initiative to find creative approaches that make each customer's experience feel personal.
  12. Look for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall branch customer experience.
  13. Contribute to business results and the overall experience delivered in the branch.
  14. May work at multiple branches based on market needs; work schedule may differ from week to week in terms of days worked, hours, and shifts.
  15. Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers' assets, maintain their privacy, and act in their best interest.
  16. Keep current with the wider financial services marketplace, the legal and regulatory environment, and our commitment to uphold the highest ethical requirements of our industry.
  17. Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends and integrate into customer conversations.
  18. Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity that are suspected to be related to money laundering.
  19. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction.
  20. Protect the Bank's assets in compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
  21. Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits.
  22. Analyze issues and determine next steps; escalate as required.
Requirements:
  1. Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) - as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  3. Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  4. Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
  5. Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
  6. Passionate commitment to helping customers.

Benefits:

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $35,000.00 - $52,000.00 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
