As a Personal Finance Specialist at Desjardins, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining lasting business relationships with members and clients. Your primary responsibility will be to listen to their needs, offer advice that fits their financial situation, and help them choose appropriate solutions to meet their financial goals.

You will work closely with a client base consisting mainly of individual members and businesses, driving results by recommending investments, loans, and insurance products. Your expertise will be essential in balancing member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability, and sound risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising members and clients on the best strategies and working with them to identify expected results
  • Managing business relationships, assessing member/client satisfaction, and service quality, following up and identifying areas for improvement
  • Staying up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends, and best practices in your field
  • Participating in outreach activities and representing the caisse in the community

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Hold a mutual fund representative certificate from the Ontario Securities Commission
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of current financial, economic, political, and legislative events
  • All products and services aimed at caisse members and those offered by Desjardins Business Centres, Desjardins components, and distribution networks, and those offered by competitors
  • Debt management
  • Notions of compliance with legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Policies, legislation, and standards related to products and services offered by the caisse
  • Desjardins business processes
  • Service standards
  • Techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
