Job Description

Restaurant General Manager

The Restaurant General Manager is the executive leader of the restaurant, responsible for driving profitability, guest satisfaction, people development, and operational excellence. This role oversees the daily operations of a single restaurant, ensuring delivery on the Customer Promise and achieving desired restaurant outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the restaurant's financial performance, including profit and loss management, cash control, and inventory management.
  • Lead the restaurant management team to oversee financial controls, operations, people development, customer service, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Ensure company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained through a preventative maintenance program.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members and managers on team stations, products, processes, and policies.
  • Assume full accountability for the restaurant's profit and loss management.
  • Enforce compliance with government regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct restaurant management and team member performance appraisals.
  • Lead the restaurant management team in recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, and retaining effective team talent.
