About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Centre Block Project in Ottawa, a national landmark housing the Senate and the House of Commons. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of an innovative team modernizing and future-proofing the Centre Block Heritage Building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions for various building systems, including power distribution, lightning protection, and security systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to create integrated design solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure best practice design principles and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Requirements
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Minimum 12 years of electrical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects.
  • Experience with large-scale, heritage designated projects and different delivery models.
  • Detailed knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and National Building Code of Canada.
  • Understanding of LEED v4.0 and ASHRAE standards.
  • Working knowledge of CAN/ULC Standards for Life Safety Systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance.
