At Prairie Mountain Health, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated Recreation Coordinator - Health and Wellness Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled professional to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement recreation programs that promote the health and wellness of our clients. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering client-centered care and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Plan, organize, and implement activity and recreation programs for clients and participants.
- Client Assessment: Utilize regional assessment tools for initial and ongoing assessment of clients.
- Care Planning: Develop and document individualized plans based on assessments.
- Communication: Communicate information with interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress and revise care plans as required.
- Activity Coordination: Develop and implement creative activities for individuals and groups based on client interests, needs, and wishes.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Education: Grade 12 education (Manitoba standards) or equivalent.
- Certification: Completion of a recognized therapeutic recreation/activity programming certificate.
- Experience: Two years recent relevant experience working directly with clients in a healthcare environment.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as internet applications and other IT skills.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to work independently, communication skills, flexibility, independent judgment, and respect for cultural diversity and confidentiality.
Prairie Mountain Health offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will have opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
