Support Teacher for Learning Enrichment Centre

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and values-based educator to join our team as a Support Teacher for the Learning Enrichment Centre. This is a full-time position commencing in September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group learning support to students in the Learning Enrichment Centre
  • Collaborate with the LEC Coordinator to support the centre's vision and goals
  • Work with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans for LEC students
  • Recognize and accommodate individual learning styles and needs
  • Support students in staying on pace with their courses and improving their study skills
  • Assess and improve students' fundamental math skills and executive functioning abilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Intermediate-senior qualifications in mathematics and/or science are considered assets
  • Strong commitment to professional growth and a willingness to try new approaches to teaching and learning
  • Experience teaching or working in a faith-based environment is an asset
  • Strong alignment with the CIS Ontario mission and values
