Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative educator to join our team as a Learning Enrichment Centre Support Teacher. This is a full-time position that commences in September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group learning support in the Learning Enrichment Centre (LEC)
  • Collaborate with the LEC Coordinator to support the LEC vision
  • Work with classroom teachers to offer specific supports and accommodations for each individual LEC student
  • Recognize and respond to individual learning styles and characteristics
  • Support students in staying on-pace with their courses
  • Help students develop effective study skills
  • Assess and improve students' fundamental math skills
  • Enhance students' executive functioning skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Intermediate-senior qualifications in mathematics or science are considered assets
  • Strong commitment to professional growth and a willingness to try new approaches to teaching and learning
  • Experience teaching or working in a faith-based environment is an asset
  • Strong commitment to the HNMCS mission and Catholic identity
