Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective patient care in emergency and acute care settings
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care
  • Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Work to full scope of practice as an LPN

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education in CTAS, Cardiac Arrest management (CAM) Basic and Advanced or ACLS, Trauma 101 or TNCC, Pediatric Building Blocks or PALS, and ENPEP
  • IV and CVAD competency
