Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our multidisciplinary team in the Alberta Kidney Care – North program. As a key member of the team, the LPN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient and family-centered care to acute and chronic renal failure patient populations.
- Practice within the guidelines and philosophy of the AKC.
- Work at full scope of practice and provide a variety of nursing duties in accordance with current policies and nursing care standards.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Physical Assessment, IV Therapy, and Medication Administration course.
- Ability to lift 40lbs (18kg).
