Winter Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Winter Patroller to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a Winter Patroller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our communities by performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations, and implementing emergency plans.
As a member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders, and will work closely with our Foreperson to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities- Perform road maintenance activities on provincial highways, including snowplowing and salting
- Respond to emergency situations, such as spills and accidents, during inclement weather
- Implement emergency plans and provide traffic control at accident scenes
- Operate a variety of equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports and safety reports
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- DZ license
- Experience in snow and ice control, including knowledge of OTM Book 7
- Knowledge of highway maintenance
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
