Winter Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Winter Patroller to join our team at Miller Maintenance. As a Winter Patroller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our communities by performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations, and implementing emergency plans.
As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, inspecting patrols, and creating deficient lists for the Foreperson. You will also be required to respond to public complaints and operate a variety of equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform road maintenance activities on provincial highways
- Respond to emergency situations such as spills and accidents during inclement weather
- Implement emergency plans and provide traffic control at accident scenes
- Operate a variety of equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders
- Inspect patrols and create deficient lists for the Foreperson
- Respond to public complaints and provide excellent customer service
- DZ license
- Experience in snow and ice control, along with knowledge of OTM Book 7
- Knowledge of highway maintenance
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
