Job Summary

Trans Mountain is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Integrity and Risk Management team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing right of way maintenance projects, including project scope development and planning documentation. You will also liaise with internal and external groups to ensure Trans Mountain and external stakeholder requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage right of way maintenance projects including project scope development and planning documentation
  • Liaise with other internal and external groups to ensure Trans Mountain and external stakeholder requirements are met
  • Manage construction budgets and contractor oversight requirements
  • Assist with the assessment and prioritization of potential depth of cover mitigation sites
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure processes and standards are followed
  • Coordinate project close out documentation including updated depth of cover surveys
  • Provide summarized project updates and key performance indicators to supervisors and executive

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Civil, Geotechnical, Structural or Mechanical Engineering)
  • 5 to 10 years engineering experience with at least 3 years of project management experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with pipeline engineering experience
  • Project management experience including managing projects up to $10M is preferred
  • Experience working in an operating environment is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with others, and desire to mentor, lead and guide junior and intermediate engineers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, time management and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make sound decisions
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, multi-task environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to navigate and facilitate difficult conversations
