We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transportation Engineer and Project Manager to join our team in Ontario. As a key member of our transportation group, you will be responsible for managing projects and providing oversight and guidance over various disciplines and technical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management, including proposals and scope of work preparation, budgeting, invoicing, scheduling, and coordination with clients and agencies.
- Preparation and development of engineering design plans, coordination of projects between disciplines, and QA/QC review of design plans in compliance with design standards and guidelines.
- Coordination with clients and agencies regarding project data, needs, and status, as necessary, and preparation and negotiation of scopes of work and cost estimates.
- Maintenance of project financials, invoicing, cash collections, and maximizing profit on projects.
- Collaboration with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements.
- Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System and promoting Stantec's Environmental Health & Safety program.
Requirements:
- Proven project management experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant roadway and highway design guides, such as the TAC Geometric Design Guide and local client design guides.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and familiarity with highway and roadway design-related software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and InRoads.
- Project management experience and experience with marketing, proposal preparation, fee preparations, negotiations, and contracts.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience.
- Ontario P.Eng. with 10 or more years of progressive roadway/highway design experience.
