Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mechanical safety inspections of railcars using advanced technology.
  • Verify the accuracy of car repairs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collect and analyze data on system reliability and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, safety, and regulatory departments to provide critical information and support.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases for new technology purchases and process integrations to enhance railway safety and efficiency.
  • Support the continuous improvement of existing technology and inspection processes.
  • Emphasize dedication to safety and adherence to guidelines and rules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license necessary.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in railcar inspection or railcar maintenance and repair.
  • Meet Transport Canada and CPKC's criteria for a certified Rail Car Apprentice or Mechanic.
  • Strong communication skills for providing clear instructions and directions.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Canadian Passport required.
