Job Title: Facility Operator

Prairie South School Division No. 210 is seeking a skilled Facility Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of school division buildings and their surrounding grounds, as well as assisting the Head Facility Operator.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of school division buildings and their surrounding grounds
  • Assist the Head Facility Operator with various tasks and duties
  • Perform heavy work, including exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
  • Work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)
  • A valid Fireman's certificate if required by legislation
  • Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position
  • A working knowledge of computers
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
