Occupational Therapy Assistant

Baycrest is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists and physiotherapists to provide high-quality care to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with ambulation and transfer training, activities of daily living, and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also be responsible for providing indirect care, such as sewing modifications, adaptive clothing, and environmental modifications. Additionally, you will assist clients in purchasing equipment and participate in the supervision of OTA/PTA students and volunteers.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) from an accredited College program. Recent and related experience, preferably in a dual role, is also required. You will also need to have knowledge of occupational therapy and physiotherapy areas of practice, including activities of daily living, assistive devices, home safety, and energy conservation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Basic computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, SERS, Microsoft Word, and Excel, are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
