Location: Various locations across OntarioAs an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will support occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic services to enhance patients' daily living skills. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists to promote patient recovery and independence.
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve their daily living skills, such as mobility, self-care, and cognitive function.
- Document patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist to ensure seamless care.
- Maintain equipment and organize treatment areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and tools to promote independence and self-advocacy.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- National certification and state licensure as an occupational therapy assistant.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Compassion and commitment to patient care, with a focus on delivering high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each patient.
