Opportunity Overview

Aecon is seeking a skilled Proposal Manager to support dynamic transit projects in Canada. Our team is committed to delivering innovative solutions that improve transportation experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct industry research to identify market opportunities and prepare executive summaries.
  • Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal requirements.
  • Develop proposal calendars and responsibility matrices.
  • Create and edit proposal templates, resume templates, and project sheets.
  • Schedule and lead proposal meetings.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and post-bid debrief meetings, summarizing results and lessons learned.
  • Manage and coordinate input from other partners.
  • Manage proposal documentation through Aecon's SharePoint portal.
  • Update key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboard, including proposal pursuit status reports.
  • Develop formal presentations of proposals and present directly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Track and ensure timely completion of proposal deliverables.
  • Manage pursuit schedules and ensure adequate resource assignment.
  • Train, mentor, and develop proposal coordinators and assistants.
  • Perform compliance checks on all submittal documents.
  • Organize team reviews on behalf of the proposal management team.
  • Packaging and delivering final proposal submissions on time.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in major P3 Canadian proposal submissions.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced written and communication skills.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and effectively present technical information.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and performance-driven setting.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
