Job Title: Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Shree Ambe Ontario Inc. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and shop for food and household supplies.
  • Guest Services: Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, and offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Support for Youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans, offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce, and supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers, and offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

Requirements: No degree, certificate, or diploma required. Will train. English language proficiency required.

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week
