Nurse Practitioner

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an acute medical and surgical setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to prioritize and organize care in a dynamic environment, and demonstrate a commitment to continuing education.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, evidence-informed nursing care to patients with a variety of needs, including IV management, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assess patients, intervene appropriately, and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and achieve positive outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices to provide the highest level of care.
- Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Recent medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting.
- Coronary Care I certification within 6 months of hire.
- Strong patient assessment skills and ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and families.
