Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and execute oral and/or written instructions from supervisors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Perform repairs to plant equipment as needed to eliminate operating problems and maintain optimal production levels.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as per drawings and blueprints to ensure high-quality repairs and installations.
- Routinely inspect and maintain records of equipment operating conditions to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties as needed and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Make installations and alignments to ensure proper equipment operations and minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations to protect employees, equipment, and the environment.
- Work overtime as needed to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and minimize production downtime.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support the maintenance team and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions, including time management and prioritizing skills.
- Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools, including ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of technical training in general maintenance preferred.
- 2 – 5 years' general maintenance experience required; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
