Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at SC Johnson. As a key member of our Continuous Improvement team, you will play a critical role in reducing operations loss and improving efficiency across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in reduced downtime and increased productivity.
  • Design, configure, and implement process control solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize electrical control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, electrical circuit schematics, and device configuration files.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement new capital projects, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and national codes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training courses and seminars as required.
Requirements
  • College diploma with a relevant specialization (trade license and/or technologist and/or professional qualification)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming and electrical control systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the packaged goods industry
  • Experience with industrial automation and controls, electrical engineering design, and PLC logic
