About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Kainaan Drywall Ltd. as a Bricklayer and Mason. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and installing masonry structures, including brick, concrete block, and structural tile units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects
  • Masonry Work
    • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units
    • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing
    • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
    • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
  • Project Management
    • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
    • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
    • Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods
    • Bend, crouch, and kneel frequently
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the masonry trade
  • Language and Work Environment
    • Fluent in English
    • Work in a commercial, industrial, or residential setting
