Job Title: Planning Technician

We are seeking a skilled Planning Technician to join our team at Seaspan ULC. As a Planning Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects in our shipbuilding yard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management: Coordinate and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Budgeting and cost estimation: Prepare and manage budgets, and estimate costs for projects.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Analyze data and prepare reports to inform project decisions.
  • Review and development: Review projects and programs, and develop business applications to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word.
  • Planning specialization: Resource management and planning.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
