Position Overview

LECTURER – NURSING

As a Nursing Lecturer, your primary role involves imparting knowledge to students, designing educational programs, and evaluating student performance. The curriculum encompasses a variety of essential subjects, including:

  • Anatomy and Physiology I
  • Introduction to the Nursing Profession
  • Basic Nursing Care I
  • Therapeutic Communication
  • Microbiology and Immunology
  • Introductory Nursing Practice Internship
  • Anatomy and Physiology II
  • Pharmacology
  • Basic Nursing Care II
  • Pathophysiology
  • Basic Care Internship

Employment Type: Contract – Upcoming Nursing Program

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and organize class sessions
  • Deliver engaging and structured educational sessions
  • Create both formative and summative assessments utilizing a competency-based framework
  • Administer evaluations and provide grading
  • Support and monitor student progress to foster success
  • Be accessible to students to aid in their development of course competencies
  • Undertake additional related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada
  • Hold a college diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science
  • Have teaching experience in the relevant subject area within the last five years
  • Possess at least two years of professional experience related to the subject area
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction (French and/or English), both spoken and written, including technical vocabulary in the secondary language

This position entails collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders on both national and international levels. Therefore, professional proficiency in English is essential.
