Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Gateway. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensure departmental productivity objectives and service quality standards are met.
- Establish and maintain cost-control systems for linen and cleaning supplies inventories.
- Oversee budgeting, ordering, and receiving of supplies.
- Inspect and manage the quality of housekeeping services within set timelines.
- Schedule staff according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Comply and report information on housekeeping activities and expenses.
- Communicate with Guest Services on the status of guest rooms.
- Provide training and career development for housekeeping staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for employees.
- Provide input to the department's annual budget, monitor and report variances against plan, and track labor costs.
- Comply with Hotel Policies and Procedures for security and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 3+ star hotel as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Previous supervisory experience, including scheduling, training, development, performance appraisals, and administering disciplinary actions.
- Superior people management skills, customer service, conflict resolution skills, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to results through flexible scheduling, consistent follow-up, and leadership by example.
- Highly productive, energetic, attentive to detail, and a positive attitude.
