Ganotec is a full-service, heavy industrial contractor serving the industrial sector across Canada. We conduct our business through various commercial contract styles, including full turnkey, EPC, design-build, T&M, and conventional discipline packages. Our partnering approach involves collaboration with owners, major equipment suppliers, and engineers at the project development phase to ensure a cost-effective execution strategy.

Location

This role is for our projects in Quebec, Canada, with our office based in Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support the growth of Jr. Superintendents
  • Review and approve labor rates for Foremen, journeymen, and laborers
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
  • Develop a program to maintain good client relations
  • Initiate and attend meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
  • Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
  • Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
  • Maintain a daily diary for record-keeping purposes
  • Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes
  • Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction experience, with 8+ years in an Electrical Superintendent/Leadership capacity
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
  • Functional knowledge of English is an asset, as mobility across provinces in Canada is required
  • Ability to work at various locations and adapt to changing conditions
