Store Assistant

About this Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager with overseeing store operations. This includes hiring, supervising, and working with staff to accomplish daily tasks, paperwork, bank deposits, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will help maintain our high standards and provide fast and friendly service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and they leave satisfied.
- Planning and Organizing: Assist the Store Manager in planning and organizing store operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Cash-Handling and Bookkeeping: Assist with cash handling, bank deposits, and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, Store Managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of expectations and goals.
- Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning and Organizing: Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Cash-Handling and Bookkeeping: Basic math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately handle cash and perform bookkeeping tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve problems quickly.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, Store Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Safety and Security: Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
- Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
