Job Title: Survey Assistant

Job Summary:

The Survey Assistant will assist in various tasks related to surveying and geomatics, including tracking and maintaining equipment and materials, supporting a positive team atmosphere, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong handle on equipment and field tools, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with surveying tasks, including tracking and maintaining equipment and materials.
  • Support a positive and professional team atmosphere and act as a positive ambassador for the company.
  • Assist Crew Chief in achieving project timelines and deliverables.
  • Complete mandatory safety training and practice competent operation of all equipment and tasks.
  • Adhere to safety requirements of the client, OH&S, and the GeoVerra Safety program.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience in surveying or other related types of work in the great outdoors.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly for the client, project, and GeoVerra requirements.
  • Commitment to respond to situations that occur outside traditional working hours.
  • Capacity to take directions and communicate effectively.
