Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Astoria Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our culinary standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • To estimate the cost and quantity of supplies and food items
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • SUPERVISE ACTIVITIES OF SPECIALIST CHEFS, CHEFS, COOKS AND OTHER KITCHEN WORKERS
  • Create a positive and efficient work environment in the kitchen
  • Plan menus and ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • At least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position with regular working hours of 35 to 40 hours per week
  • The successful candidate must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
