This job posting is utilized to register with Paper Excellence and submit a cover letter, resume, and copy of your high school transcript for consideration for entry-level labourers in our pulp mill, specifically in Chip Handling and Machine Room. The hourly rate of pay will be per the PPWC Local 15 Labour Agreement ($33.71/hour).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physically demanding labouring work in all areas of the mill, providing vacation and training relief.
  • Work a shift rotation (days and nights).
  • Duties and job requirements will include but are not restricted to:
    • Operating mobile equipment for extended periods.
    • Being on your feet for extended periods.
    • Working in hot and noisy conditions.
    • Having good visual perception.
    • Being computer literate.

Qualifications

  • A copy of your Grade 12 transcripts from High School with the following course requirements:
    • 12th grade science (one of the following: biology, chemistry, or physics).
    • 12th grade math (one of the following: Pre-calculus, or Principles of Mathematics).
    • 12th grade English (English 12, Communications 12, or English studies 12).
