About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team at A. K. Nursery Ltd. as a Nursery Labourer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various horticultural tasks, including plant care, pruning, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Care: Assist in the care and maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilizing, and pruning.
  • Pruning and Maintenance: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth and development.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for planting and other horticultural activities.
  • Transplanting: Assist in transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings to new locations.
  • Reporting: Report any signs of insect or disease damage to the supervisor.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The work site environment is physically demanding, requiring repetitive tasks and bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
