Job Title: Cloud Software Development Engineer

Are you passionate about shaping the future of cloud computing? We're looking for a skilled Cloud Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based systems using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver applications incrementally for our customers, obsessing over their needs and evolving technology as the cloud evolves.
  • Evaluate and evolve technology to solve exciting new challenges every day, mentoring and coaching other engineers along the way.
  • Have opportunities to influence design choices, make business value cases for the best technology to build with, and grow your skills with access to Amazon's Principal and Senior Engineers.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • A competitive base salary ranging from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year.
