Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada West Equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces, including landscaping, gardening, and other related tasks.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create budgets and estimates for labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues or concerns.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Manage contracts with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment used for grounds maintenance, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure materials, equipment, and supplies as needed for grounds maintenance projects.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of staff and resources.
Supervision:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people.

Experience:

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
